 Shawn Fordham, GreetingOn September 8, 2011 President Barack Obama delivered his jobs speech to a joint session of Congress. Before doing so he shook hands with Christina Anderson Smith (PFA Alum '78) Official Reporter for the U.S. House of Representatives. Smith was present in the Capitol to dictate the president's remarks word for word. History was made that night as it was the first time an African American Reporter for the House recorded a speech by the first African American President. Congratulations Tina!!!
